And Baby Makes Three …

Dear Kate & Wills,

Yeah, I think we’re on a first-name basis by now. We’ve been through a lot together, the college years, the big wedding, the Olympics (good job, by the way) and now this. While many of us here at Lands’ End are parents ourselves, we wouldn’t dare give you any advice or pretend we know what it’s like. None of us had the entire world waiting for the births of our children.

But we would like to send our congratulations on the birth of your beautiful new son, HRH George Alexander Louis Mountbatten-Windsor. He’s simply beautiful and you both look quietly overjoyed. A few things you might need for your little prince and yourselves as you start this new chapter:

Steiff Bear: While these bears haven’t been around for as long as your family’s legacy, they are just as popular and known throughout the world. He’s so soft and cuddly, your little guy won’t want to let him go.

Pendleton Baby Blanket: Don’t be scared away by the wool. It’s incredibly soft and super warm. Plus, what little boy doesn’t love submarines and octopi?

Whale Hooded Towel: There are few things cuter than babies fresh out of the bath…except babies fresh out of the bath wrapped in a hooded animal towel.

Classic Tote: Babies require a lot of stuff. A LOT. Carry all of it and your own necessities (which will eventually dwindle to just keys and lip balm) in a roomy-but-still-fashionable tote bag with your own stamp.

Scented Candle: Maybe you’ve heard raising a kid is the hardest job you’ll ever have. I assume it’s infinitely harder doing it with the whole world watching. A soothing scented candle can bring a little zen to your chaotic world.

Shearling Slide Slippers: Those castles can get drafty in the middle of the night when your little one wakes up over and over and over again. Soft & warm (and easy to slip on & off) slippers will be your best friends.

No need to send a thank you note. I know you’re a little busy these days. Give a holler if you need anything else, I make a mean casserole.

Cheerio!
Auntie Raina
